HydraClear® is a bioherbicide for managing submerged aquatic weeds such as Hydrilla verticillata (or hydrilla). Using the patented Biocar® Microsponge™ system for delivery of natural plant pathogen, the product was developed to adhere to underwater plants. Biocar® microsponges were used to provide shelf-life stability and maintain the activity of the plant pathogen for hydrilla.
